Introduction of Brunei

Negara Brunei Darussalam. 'The abode of Peace's one of the oldest region in the Asia that rich with its culture, lifestyle, monarchy, Royal Heritage, Traditional food, resources and thick forest. The 'Borneo' is an adaption of the name 'Brunei' by which the entire island was once known.



Just 443 km north km north of the equator, modern Brunei's 5765 sq km land area is bordered by the Malaysian  states of Sabah and Sarawak to the east and west respectively and Kalimantan  (Indonesia) to the south. Rainfall and humanity are high, with temperatures averaging 28 degrees Celsius throughout the year. yet Brunei rests outside the tropical typhoon and earthquake belts.




Brunei is comprised of four district which are Brunei Muara District, Tutong District, Belait District and Temburong District. The nation's riverfront capital, Bandar Seri Begawan, is in the Brunei Muara district and it makes this district become more populated among the 4 district even though it is eventually the smallest district in Brunei.

About two third of the population is Malay; the rest are Chinese or members of indigenous tribes. The population in Brunei is estimated about 408 000 people and this calculation was made in the July 2010. Bahasa Melayu is the official language although English is widely spoken and understood.



A Malay Muslim Monarchy, the country is ruled according to Islamic values and traditions by the present monarch, His Majesty ascendant of one of the world oldest continuously reigning royal line, with over 500 years of recorded history.
